Acting Lessons?

Maybe I just have an emotional kid, but sometimes I wonder if he is actually teaching himself to cry on demand. It started over the holidays, when a particularly slow or melancholy song would come on the radio, he would get this super sad look on his face and his eyes would get misty. When asked if he was sad, he'd say yes in a somber little voice, but would be fine two seconds later, so I wasn't really buying it.

Lately, he has a fascination with doing something before we go home. Going to the park, going shopping, going to get Auntie V.... anything but "go home first". So the other day when we had nothing to do but go home, he didn't throw a fit, scream or even complain, but when I looked in my review mirror I saw a very sad face.

I really felt a tug seeing silent tears falling on his puffy little cheeks, but when I realized he was crying over nothing, I made him laugh and he wiped the tears away and moved on. Is it the age of drama or do I need to start looking for an agent?

look at that face. How did you keep from crying?
