First Snow

I heard the news reports that it was going to possibly snow to sea level, but I didn't actually believe it. Its not completely crazy for it to snow where we live, but its also not an every-winter-day (or every winter period) occurrence. So, when I woke up and looked out the window to see this
I was so excited!

Had the next step been needing to shovel the driveway, I probably would not have been giddy and grinning at the sight of the snow. But, it was perfect. Just enough to cover the trees and make everything look pretty and make it feel like it really is winter and the holidays are almost here.

I felt a little silly giggling over snow, but when Z woke up and I took him to the window, he burst out in giggles and a big grin, too. "It snowed!" I told him. "Can I play in it, Mom?" was his first question. Then he said "snow is kind of like dirt, right, mom?". I let him decide for himself after getting bundled up....


Apparently he decided its not like dirt after all. :)
